Capital Credits: One more way we’re always in your corner.
As a cooperative, our members are the reason we exist. So, you’re the first to benefit when there’s excess revenue. Unlike investor-owned utilities, Mid-Carolina operates on just enough to run the business. Instead of earning a profit for stockholders, we return any surplus to members in the form of capital credits.
Mid-Carolina's 6th Annual Sporting Clays Fundraiser brings in $27,000 in donations
Thanks to the support of more than 50 generous sponsors, and our team of employee volunteers, we are proud to announce that we were able to raise $27,000 during our 6th annual sporting clays tournament! Every dollar raised goes to support both the ALS Association and the Burn Foundation of America. Thanks to all who played a role in making this event a success! You've truly made a difference in the community and touched countless lives!
Mid-Carolina awards seven $3,000 scholarships
Each year, Mid-Carolina Electric Cooperative awards scholarships to seven extraordinary high school seniors in our service area. Students who are selected for these scholarships are dedicated to their goals and demonstrate a sincere desire to serve their community.
Mid-Carolina Holds a New Kind of Annual Meeting
In many ways, it was an Annual Meeting much like the ones from the past. Everyone that came received a $20 bill credit and a goodie bag. There were prize drawings and members were able to hear about the highlights from the previous year from our CEO Bob Paulling.
Mid-Carolina Announces New Brand Identity, Enhanced Member Communications
Mid-Carolina Electric Cooperative is pleased to announce an updated brand identity and enhanced communications, including a new website, to serve its 58,000 member accounts. The communications program is part of a year-long strategic planning initiative developed to position the cooperative to better serve our members both now and into the future.
Mid-Carolina Donates $23,000 to Charity
Mid-Carolina Electric Cooperative is pleased to announce a charitable contribution of $23,000 to two organizations close to the hearts of our cooperative family. The ALS Association is the first of those, supporting, assisting, and caring for victims of Lou Gehrig's disease.
