Mid-Carolina 2026 Annual Meeting Recap
For 86 years, Mid-Carolina Electric Cooperative has brought members together at our Annual Meeting for fellowship and to carry out the important work of running an electric cooperative.
This year’s theme, MCEC Ready, reflects our commitment to being prepared for anything. Through strong infrastructure, smart planning, and a dedicated team, Mid-Carolina Electric is ready to deliver reliable power, respond when it matters most, and serve our communities every day. The Annual Meeting provides a meaningful platform to share these efforts, from updates on new initiatives to the community programs we support.
This year’s drive-thru registration events and virtual business meeting in April were a strong reflection of that commitment, with a record-breaking 6,001 members participating in registration and voting.
Members who registered and voted in person at any drive-thru location prior to the Business Meeting were automatically entered into the prize drawings. Prizes included two Generac 2500i generators, two Solo Stove Yukon 2.0 fire pits, and 86 $50 bill credits in celebration of the co-op’s 86 years of service, as well as the grand prize, a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Extended Cab. As a thank-you for their engagement, each registered member also received a $25 bill credit applied directly to their account, along with a small gift.
Congratulations to our prize winners:

“We had an incredible response this year to our Annual Meeting registration and voting,” said Mid-Carolina President and CEO Bob Paulling. “It was so good to see old friends and meet new ones during both the drive-thru and business meeting. I shared with our employees that it felt like a homecoming—seeing all the smiles and having the chance to connect again. We love our members and are already planning next year’s gathering to make it even better.”
We are especially grateful to our members for showing up and taking part in the important decisions that help guide one of our most vital resources—electricity.
