EasyPay Update: New Secure PIN System Implemented

At Mid-Carolina Electric Cooperative, we are committed to providing our members with secure, convenient payment options. As part of this effort, we're updating EasyPay to a new system, effective March 11.

This update will enhance security and improve the payment process for all members. One key change: Members will now need a Personal Identification Number (PIN) to make EasyPay payments.

What You Need to Know

🔹New PIN Requirement

  • When making an EasyPay payment, you will be required to enter a PIN.
  • Your default PIN will be:

⚬ Last 4 digits of your Social Security Number (SSN)
⚬ If your SSN is not on file, the default will be one of the following:

▪ Your date of birth (MMDDYYYY)
▪ Your current balance
▪ Your last payment amount

🔹 Set Your New PIN

  • The first time you use EasyPay on or after March 11, you'll be required to use the default pin then prompted to select a new PIN of your choice.


🔹 No More Voice Entry

  • Unlike before, the new system does not allow voice entry for PINs or payment details. All information must be entered using your keypad.

  • Improved Reliability: The new system ensures a smoother, more efficient payment process.
