MCEC Cares - Member and Employee Safety Concerning the Coronavirus
At Mid-Carolina Electric Cooperative, the safety, health and well-being of our members and employees is our top priority each day. We continue to monitor the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) across the communities we serve and have plans in place to ensure the ongoing operations of your cooperative.
Please consider how we can work together as a member-owned cooperative during times of concern over public safety while continuing to provide the reliable electric services we depend on.
To help minimize the impact of exposure from contact, we ask that you take full advantage of the digital tools and various methods of electronic payments that we offer to each member. Over 52% of our members enjoy the ease - and now safety of an electronic relationship through our member app, SmartHub. If you have not done so, please take this opportunity to download SmartHub. Please call the office if we can help you with this process or answer any questions with payment options.
To help protect you and the communities we serve, we are asking our employees to take all necessary precautions to help limit the spread of the coronavirus whether in the field performing necessary operations or at our member service offices. To that end we would ask that you consider the available alternative ways of doing business with your cooperative for the safety of everyone whenever possible.
We will continue to monitor the effects of the virus and the impact on our community – we will continue to provide the same level of service our members deserve and expect. We do ask for your consideration and cooperation as we put in place and observe measures to ensure both the health and safety of our members and employees alike.
